For the Rosh Hashanah edition of Tablet magazine, actress Natasha Lyonne and photographer Annabel Mehran teamed up for a photo series about transformation: specifically, about the blurred gender and identity roles of Barbra Streisand‘s character in the movie Yentl. In the photo series, “Yentl 4Eva,” Lyonne plays both parts flawlessly, which will come as no surprise to her fans.
“In addition to her knockout role as Nicky Nichols in Jenji Kohan’s comic prison drama Orange Is the New Black, Lyonne starred in this summer’s The Intervention and produced and starred in the film Antibirth, opposite Chloe Sevigny, being released this month,” writes Tablet’s Alana Newhouse. “And she is in the process of co-producing a comedy series with Amy Poehler for BBC America based on the hit Israeli film Zero Motivation.”
